I am a creative consultant with a background in fashion, publishing, design, creative direction, photoshoot production, content creation, retail and curating.
My work history involves freelance and on staff time contributing as fashion editor to publications such as Vogue Australia, Harpers Bazaar Australia, Grazia UK, Oyster and numerous others working with the top photographers in the country. I regularly travelled to the UK for several years working for British Grazia and produced fashion shoots in New York, St Petersburg, New Zealand and many locations around Australia. During that time I worked on numberless advertising campaigns for top brands and labels and have worked on magazines print and online, fashion shows, music videos, short films, tv series and styled celebrities and supermodels for appearances. During this time I was represented by Company One agency (now closed) and subsequently Viviens Creative.
I have consulted to multiple brands in various industries on brand development, content and creative strategy.
In 2012 after several years of development in between other projects I launched Bonfire/Vanities an online fashion and culture magazine featuring images, mood boards, interviews and profiles all produced by me in collaboration with my network of creatives.
In 2016 I opened retail store Coven Shoppe in Mullumbimby, a luxury lifestyle concept store based on ethical and sustainable principles. I stocked a large range of fashion and homewares and gained a successful following with return customers from all over Australia and overseas.
In 2019 I curated a group show at the Byron School of Art called Mystic Woman. I brought together four artists : painter Leah Fraser, sculptor Karina Elias, painter Claire Johnson and performance artist Melissa Gilbert/OFFERINGS. The show opened with over a hundred people attending, continued for a week in the gallery with an artist discussion led by me and a Unite/Play/Perform workshop with OFFERINGS.
Since 2016, I have consulted to Lisa Black Jewellery, on brand and content. I collaborated with graphic design agency Monier on rebranding and produced Anthologia, a print compendium of Lisa’s work over twelve years which was launched in 2021. In 2022 I produced a photoshoot for the brand and have styled the interiors and displays for several subsequent studio events.
In January 2020 I purchased an off-grid property in the hinterland of Mullumbimby, Byron Shire, Northern NSW. Since then and ongoing I have been working with local craftspeople renovating the house and cabin, learning to work with the landscape and its inhabitants both flora and fauna and raising my son.
